The Stamping Process
Every paving job requires prep work that has a big impact on your finished product. If not done properly, your walkway can have serious issues and won’t have the longevity it should. One of our experienced crews will book an appointment to make sure the design and foundation of your walkway is rock solid.
In the second step of prep work we will grade your walkway properly. This requires precision and experience to ensure water flows away from your home and for your walkways to be as safe as possible.
Once all the prep work is complete, we will lay the asphalt according to the walkway design.
4. Stamping Pattern
Most people don’t know that you can put patterns in asphalt. It’s a new product that we started applying in 2016 and we haven’t looked back since. We have a few designs to pick from including Basket Weave, Herring Bone, Ashler Slate, and British Cobble. One main benefit to stamping asphalt over concrete is asphalts flexibility and durability. Concrete can crack easily with frost.
Do you want your new walkway to match the aesthetic of your property? We can do that! We use a commercial grade e-poxy that we spray directly onto the finished walkway that will last for years. We’ve had clients spray walkways over 7 years ago with this product and haven’t re-applied yet. Even when you do decide to re-apply, it’s not a highly expensive job and is the only maintenance you would need to do over it’s lifetime. This is certainly a low maintenance and beautiful looking product!
